Republic day "PRASADAM"

Most believe in one or more gods, they know very well about 'prasad' (prasadam some say); I am not talking about this.
Some have heard this word as surnames like deviprasad, shivprasad, etc etc; I swear I am not saying about this too.
Neither I am talking about some Mr. a/b/c Prasad of insurance ads; Nor is this story of Mrs. Prasad of some shampoo advertisement, and definitely not about a word appearing as a name in the railway reservation chart daily basis!

Many of us are very much concerned about what people say about something with a special emphasis on the words they use. I am writing one of my recent observations I made on the most sacred day of our nation -- The Republic Day. (2016)

It has become a custom to hoist the tricolour and distribute sweets; invariably it happen at every hoisting site. With time it has become, an incentive to all attendees for attending the hoisting!....?
I was one such attendee this Republic day celebrations in my hostel. As usual after some speeches, sweets distribution counter came alive. People lined up and took their part and disappeared, I too did - pakoda, laddu and tea, (oh! I still remember the taste, it was lovely).

There were many students, many workers of hostel, some guests and few security guards. I often have good interaction with many these people present. As a formality (or perhaps trying to smart), I was enquiring people if they savoured the taste of pakoda as it was amazingly cooked. Some seniors said the Tea was great and they enjoyed, so did friends and juniors on pakoda and laddu. This continued for quiet some time.

"जी सर, सुबह आये और प्रसाद लेके ड्यूटी पे लग गए. प्रसाद तो मस्ट था, मै तो दो बार लेलिया"

Later, during lunch, I met a security guard, I just enquired with him; if he was present in morning, his answer was quick he said "जी सर, सुबह आये और प्रसाद लेके ड्यूटी पे लग गए. प्रसाद तो मस्ट था, मै तो दो बार लेलिया" (Yes sir, had come in morning, received PRASAD and went back to duty, PRASAD was so tasty that Ii received twice.

That statement of his is lingering in my ears, for him republic day celebration was no less than attending his God's ceremony and taking the prasad their. Word to be noted "Prasad".

This is what Rashtra-Bhakti mean. A selfless love for nation is in culture, its in behaviour, its in every gesture... No need to show it forcefully. No proof is required in terms of a Photo, TV coverage or even a post on Facebook and tweeter, Every gesture, every move, every blink, every word tells it.

Mother is undoubtedly great! I am a witness.

We are taught that mother is first teacher that this etc etc; even we have heard a lot about mothers in myth and history. But today I am writing about something I witnessed myself.

I was traveling to Hubli from Delhi in Goa Express (dates not disclosed to hide identity of the people  I am talking about). Its a more than 36 hour journey, and I was in HA1 coach hardly 20people were there in 2A section.
Let me introduce all the characters in my story
1. Me as myself
2. Indian Army Major as Major sab. (He's in my compartment)
3. 2 Aged ladies (both in my compartment)
4. 3 member Family (next compartment)  Dad,Mom and Kid.

Next to my compartment there was a family; a gentle man, his wife and their 9yr kid, he was very naughty. That lady was very fat, very much.
After a night was passed in journey, early morning that kid woke up and made sure everyone in coach is awake. By noon he irritated almost everyone, his mother was seen scolding him a lot, but two aged ladies in my compartment were talking that that lady don't love her kid and thats why she is only scolding and she dont love. She dont know how to grow kids etc etc (its their take).

But the story starts here now, The train approached Daund Junction 5 min to stop. Major sab was at one door, all 3 ladies are busy with their chitchat, man and kid at another door watching station approaching. Me observing all, sitting on my berth.
Then that kid fell down, train is still moving! luckily nothing happened to that kid, his sweat shirts protected him from external injuries (thanks to chilled delhi). That kid got up and started running along side of the train, he was afraid of loosing his parents.

His Dad shouting at him asking to stop running, but, as soon as the busy mom saw him running alongside, she screamed very loudly and wanted to bring him back, she ran to the back door and tried to jump, it was her sincere attempt. She was so fat that, she wasn't controlled by ladies, when she was about to jump, Major Sab caught her, he was probably the strongest one to stop her. She is crying tears rolling down her eyes.

Thanks to god, the ground staff on the station made the train to stop, a tea vendor brought that kid back his parents. then crying lady hugged him, when man was thanking that vendor.

Mom was sad and crying then she started crying in remembering the scene, later she cried of happiness! The scene of Mom trying jump is something imprinted in my memory, I saw clearly what happened in there. Maa is always great. she was strict, but she was very loving. Mothers know whats right to their kids.

Thanks to all Mothers of this universe.
